Troy: As a former mill worker, Army veteran, College grad, and Business owner.....I dove into real estate during the "Great Recession" in 2008/2009 and never looked back. I met Andy years later and he soon became my property manager. He had been working in the paper industry for many years as a successful salesman but was looking for a change. At the time I had 20 sfhs that he took over while quickly starting to build his own portfolio. Within a couple years he also reached 20 sfh's. During this time, John reached out and inquired about mentorship and learning about the real estate business. At the time he was in management overseeing a multi-million dollar staffing company, but was looking for a change. He knew he wanted something else that was going to provide a more flexible lifestyle. He quickly learned the business and also purchased 20 sfh's and handed them over to Andy for management.
Fast forward to today and we now operate as a partnership group. Nexgen Real Estate Investment Group, LLC was created to focus on multi-family properties. Our goal was simple....to create a lifestyle of flexibility and freedom while creating legacy wealth for our families. Today we hold 120 rental units and have expanded our team to include a realtor to help with acquisitions and management. We've also added an administrator who manages our various marketing platforms and helps streamline our application process.
Our number one priority has always put our families first. As husbands and fathers, our mission was to spend more time with them and to secure their financial future. Our goal is to keep growing our business while helping others along the way. Our company is worth $12M today with no plans to slow down. The most important advice I can give is to learn something new every day, to work harder than everyone else, and to always stay humble.
